As Chesterfield County continues to see sustained growth, the Business Development Team works directly with prospective companies from across the globe who are planning to relocate or expand their facilities to grow our commercial tax base. The Chesterfield team works to expertly identify potential clients in our target industry clusters and works with those businesses and their consultants to highlight the advantages of a Chesterfield County location decision. To reach these targets the Chesterfield team partners with the Greater Richmond Partnership and the Virginia Economic Development Partnership on domestic and international marketing missions to strategic locations in the U.S. and abroad.
The Business Development group also participates in target industry trade shows and related conferences, develops, and maintains relationships with Site Selection consultants, targets industry clients for outreach and communication, and takes part in hosting potential clients in the Richmond market.
As we continue to market Chesterfield County as a business location we act as a local point of contact for the County providing skillful project proposals and responses to RFP and RFI inquiries. We engage with our prospective clients with presentations and seminars on business climate advantages in Chesterfield County, tours and overviews of local real estate opportunities, business, and quality of life assets in the Richmond region and introductions to local workforce development solution providers, existing business peer groups and community partners.
