More than 99% of business establishments in Chesterfield County meet the Code of Virginia definition of a small business. Our Small Business Support and Entrepreneurship Program supports new and existing Chesterfield County businesses at various stages in their journey. We are here for small businesses, entrepreneurs, and start-ups to answer questions, offer guidance, provide education, connect to resources, and assist with other business-related needs. Business assistance, such as, One-on-One business counseling, Small, Woman and Minority-owned (SWaM) business certification, mentorship, networking, and government contracting are just a few of the opportunities that are available through Chesterfield Economic Development’s many partnerships.
In addition, Chesterfield Economic Development works closely with the county’s mixed-use incubator, BizWorks Enterprise Center. BizWorks offers office, warehouse and manufacturing space to young businesses looking to grow. A virtual member program and co-working space are also available for those businesses not needing physical office space, however, can benefit from the mentorship and resources offered through BizWorks.
